Pink Santa Muerte, Our Lady of the Holy Death, on a 7-day candle. Work with her in matters of friendship, self-love, softening of hardened hearts, working with children, and/or dominion over what one sees in the mirror.
Our Lady goes by many names: “La Niña Blanca” (White Girl), “La Flaca” (Skinny Girl), “Mi Reina” (My Queen), “Mi Niña Bonita” (My Beautiful Girl) or “Madrina” (Godmother). She is a personification of death. Unlike other saints who originated in Mexican folk Catholicism, Santa Muerte is not, herself, seen as a dead human being. She is associated with healing, protection, financial wellbeing, and assurance of a path to the afterlife.
**This is a special collection based on a collaboration with fellow artist, Mary Henlin (#PortlandMary) who creates lovely hand sculpted Santa Muerte, Maddonna, Goddess, Magdelene, and other figures. This image was inspired by a life-sized piece in her beautiful home full of altars. (Find her on Etsy as PortlandMary).
All candle designs are created and rendered digitally by Dearly Beloved, then printed with laser jet ink onto high quality gloss photo decal paper. Each image is hand cut and placed on an 8" glass jar candle with unscented paraffin wax made in the USA.
